Hey guys yes its the illiterate one
Do any of you guys know how to create a smoking wound effect or have any ideas on how i might attempt it.
Obviously i want to avoid hazardous chemicals because the wound will be on bare skin and its going to be my skin and how ever much i love making films im not ready for chemical scares for my passion.
so any help would be welcome cheers chaps.
also just an aside the exposure shorts DVD is in the hands of my reviews editor and i believe hes going to watch it this weekend

What you need is something like ?Powder Smoke?, a very fine powder (Silica usually.) that you squeeze from a bottle or a pump. It creates a quick puff of smoke; if you blast it onto an object at very close range and quickly stand back it can look like there is smoke coming off it. It?s non-toxic when topically applied, but I wouldn?t breathe it in! I have no UK sources but this should give you some idea of what it is and a price guide.

I think theatrical shops may supply it.

Of course, you could take the Terminator/Father Ted route:
